Heartfelt thanks to everyone who celebrated Wellbeing Wednesday at the Pondfire with us yesterday and connected in a positive and safe way. More than 360 students showed up to safely socialize with a small group of friends at one of 10 bonfires around the Campus Pond with music, s’mores, and food trucks. And, thankfully, the weather was nice for us, too.

It was such a treat to be able to host something that felt like a slice of normalcy, and we hope to offer more events like this in the future!

Hey everyone, my name is Zach Shein and I'm a farmer at the UMass Student Farm! Every fall we offer a program where you can get fresh, organic produce grown by students for a really affordable price. The boxes are picked up weekly, for the first 10 weeks of the semester. The shares are enough to feed 4-5 hungry college students. It will introduce them to a lot of fun new veggies and provide them with the classics as well. It’s $360 for students and if you order before May 1st, you get $25 off. To put this price into perspective, faculty member Amanda Brown "estimates that each $360 share delivers what would cost more than $1400 dollars-worth of vegetables if purchased at a retail outlet." Our mission statement is: As UMass student farmers, we commit to providing our campus community with nutritious, organically grown, local produce. We cultivate student empowerment through hands-on agricultural production and by educating our peers about the importance of creating a healthier food system. We believe a CSA membership is a great way to encourage your kids to eat healthy and support local, sustainable agriculture! CSA Memberships make great gifts!! Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me with any questions! Here is a link to our website, a flier, an article to learn more about us, and some photos (including an example week's share from last year). https://stockbridge.cns.umass.edu/csa-membership https://www.umass.edu/newsoffice/article/umass-amherst-student-farmers-plant-seeds
My son was accepted to the College of Engineering and is thinking he may prefer a Computer Science degree. Does anyone know how easy/difficult it is to switch between the two? Trying to find out before he has to commit 5/1. Thanks!
My daughter is looking for photos/ videos of the following to help her decide which hall to try to get into next year Central residential area: Brett and baker halls Orchard hill residential area: Field hall What I want to see: The rooms The bathrooms The kitchens Laundry rooms if you can If there is an elevator or not
Hi. Does anyone know when parents weekend is?
Hello All, Although my son has not "officially" accepted, he will be soon. I have been trying to order some UMA "Merch". I have been unable to get anything in adult sizes. In search of adult sized hoodies, t-shirt... TY
My son (accepted student) & I are driving through campus tomorrow. We both have food allergies. Any recommendations for food allergy friendly restaurants in town? Thanks in advance!
Need to sign over a lease ASAP ! Lease begins June 1st. Due to a medical emergency my daughter can not move in as planned...we need to fill her lease. 4 bedroom at Kendrick apartments. Female only to take 3rd bedroom, dm for more information.
If anyone has any advice it would be helpful. My freshman daughter just got a summer job through UMass but can’t seem to get on campus housing. She won’t have a car and needs to start May 9 and it goes through August. I’m not having luck finding her off campus housing in May. It seems most are not available til June. She accepted the job and now we are stuck in a housing crisis. She can’t commute as we are too far away and the job consists of a lot of field work all around MA. Another student will be driving her to these locations. She’s never been on her one before and has not met anyone who also needs summer housing who she can room with. I have seen the site for off campus housing but at this point she needs to be on campus or can’t take the job and she doesn’t want to miss the opportunity. I did contact Res Life but the woman said if her work is not done on campus she can’t be on campus. She may need access to a computer on campus but not necessarily. Does anyone have any info on how I can get her on campus? Or is anyone elses student looking for a roommate for off campus? Thanks.
Anyone have any feedback on university crossing apartments?
Does anyone have a child who is on the Autism spectrum and has gone to Umass? My 18 yo daughter is high functioning and is thinking of taking the two year Stockbridge Agriculture program. Thanks!
