The Center co-hosts this event: The 30th Commemoration of Michio Hoshino. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the passing of Michio Hoshino, the photographer who made his name in Alaska, following a bear attack in Kamchatka. In the event, Hiroshi Isobe, a narrator and actor deeply influenced by Hoshino, will invite you on a journey through his production of “Majestic Nature of Alaska,” using only Hoshino’s photographs and words, along with original music and his own narration. It will be the Anchorage premiere, and his staged reading offers an opportunity to reflect on the splendour of Earth’s natural world and what truly matters to us as human beings.
