P*P 11 was the official PFRA at the Dome. Months of training came down to one morning. No pictures unfortunately, our photo-takers were too busy killing it! 💪

During P*P 12 teams competed in a relay gauntlet, then transitioned to capture the ball, a modified form of capture the flag.

LLAB 6 focused on road guard procedures, then reveille, retreat, and flag folding instruction in the form of a GLP, with flights competing for points.

LLAB 5 moved to base. Two rounds of flight drill evaluations and group leadership projects, flights rotating between them, testing decisions under pressure in both events.

P*P 9 was partner work. One minute of max push-ups and sit-ups with your partner watching the clock, then Save Your Wingman: one runs 400m while the other grinds through reps. Finally, the Descending Challenge, rounds getting shorter but never easier.

Second to None.

Northernmost detachment in the country. We train like it.

P*P 7 was Last Cadet Standing. Push-ups, sit-ups, 200m run, repeat, no rest. It ends when you tap out. P*P 8 was twenty minutes at goal two-mile pace, then endurance stations.
LLAB 4 brought a CK test and two new drill commands on the flight line: change step and to the rear.

Second to None. Earn it at 0630.

Excellent work with week 2, Det 001!

PT3 saw cadets complete a mock Physical Fitness Readiness Assessment (PFRA) to benchmark their progress before the real assessment later this month.

This week, cadets were instructed to complete at least one hour of physical activity outside of Standard Professional Military Training (SPMT). Many cadets used this time to explore the outdoors as a community, such as our first morale event of the semester which was a hike to Flattop.

LLAB 2 focused heavily on drill, with extensive instruction and demonstrations done by the POC flight and flight commanders. This also highlighted a prime opportunity for Basic Cadet Leaders (BCLs) to nurture their commanding skills.

Det 001 launched into the first week of Fall 2026 with two intense P*P sessions targeted toward introducing specific exercises that will be conducted during the next PFRA, highlighting our cadets’ grit and camaraderie. During our first LLAB of the semester, cadets participated in the Commander’s Call, finishing with each flight breaking off to get to know their fellow cadets better and go over goals and expectations for the semester.

Keep up the momentum Det 001!

Recently this month, AFROTC and AROTC joined forces for an unforgettable joint Military Ball. Cadets from both branches came together for a night of camaraderie, tradition, and celebration, strengthening bonds across services. The evening was capped off by our distinguished guests of honor, who shared powerful lessons and leadership insights from their time in uniform.

This week, we would like to highlight C/Cooley, C/Alenepi, C/Murray, C/Schropp, and C/Klein as they prepare to commission and become officers in the United States Air Force. Throughout their time here, they have grown tremendously as cadets and imparted invaluable knowledge and leadership to their peers.

While we have no doubt they will excel as officers, their presence at DET 001 will truly be missed.

Take care, Seniors! We are incredibly proud of all you have accomplished and grateful for the impact you have had on this detachment.
