🌭 Picnic at the Park!🌳

Last Saturday, our seminary students, faculty, and families gathered for our annual Seminary Picnic!

We enjoyed a great afternoon of food, fellowship, and fun as we kicked off another semester together. We’re grateful for the opportunity to step away from the classroom, build relationships, and enjoy our unity in Christ at Faith Baptist Theological Seminary.

What a great way to start our new semester! 🎓

The first week of seminary classes is officially in the books! 🎓

As we wrap up the week, we’re grateful for our students, faculty, and the opportunity to study God’s Word together. We pray that God will use this semester to equip many laborers to take the Word to the world.

Welcome back, students!

What is the New Perspective on Paul, and how does it differ from traditional views of justification?

In Part 1 of this article, Dr. Paul Hartog examines the New Perspective’s approach to the gospel and justification, focusing particularly on the views of N. T. Wright. As he compares these ideas with Reformed and Dispensational theology, he highlights the important differences at stake. He writes,

“The gospel certainly does include the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, but it also includes His death ‘for our sins.’”

What is saving faith?

Is saving faith merely intellectual assent, or is it something more?

In this article, Dr. Myron Houghton examines the nature of saving faith and responds to the teaching called “easy believism.” He considers how the roles of the law, repentance, personal trust, and perseverance all shape one's personal understanding of saving faith.

You can read Dr. Houghton’s full article, “A Critique of Easy Believism,” and see what the Bible says about saving faith by visiting the link below.
