Epsilon Eta at the University of Michigan

Epsilon Eta at the University of Michigan We are the University of Michigan's professional environmental fraternity. In Fall 2016, we welcomed TerraFaba, our second class.

Dedicated to preparing our members for meaningful careers in sustainability, our organization fosters professional, service, and social opportunities for our members. Epsilon Eta was founded during the 2015 school year and welcomed its first Rush class, Pangaea, in Fall 2015. In our short history, Epsilon Eta has grown into a close-knit and effective group, hosting on-campus panels, collaborating

with other campus sustainability groups, and providing a medium for our members' professional and personal growth. Our three pillars pertain to Epsilon Eta's professional, service, and social components. Epsilon Eta strives to build up our community and explore what it means to be an (intersectional) environmentalist, participate intentionally in the environmental movement, and be a positive force for good as we enter the world both as college students and graduates.

Senior Spotlight: Mira Hughes
🌻🌻🌻

Hello! My name is Mira and I’m graduating with a B.S. in Environment and a B.A. in Art & Design. Yay! I joined Eta my junior year to find a community of people who I could nerd out with and it’s been such a valuable part of my college experience. I love living with Etas, being in class with Etas, and having fun with Etas! This summer I’m finishing my degrees abroad in Copenhagen and Stockholm (also with other Etas). Not really sure where I will be after that but I know that I will always find love and support from this wonderful group of people wherever I go.

🌻🌻🌻

Hi! My name is Jack and I’m graduating with majors in Environment and Sociology and minors in Public Policy and French. Eta has provided me a community of passionate and kind earth-lovers who turned into my best friends. To fill my calendar with craft nights, farm days, and coffee dates has been the greatest joy over the last three years and the most valuable treasure I will take with me from my college experience. This organization taught me so much about how to better care for yourself, your friends, and your backyard. 🌱Etas went on trek to Chicago last weekend!

At our first stop, we visited two associate attorneys from the Environmental Law and Policy Center and learned about their energy, water, and climate change work in the Midwest. Next, we headed to the Field museum for a private presentation with two field ecologists, who shared their career and conservation insights. Thank you to for planning such a great trek, and to our wonderful hosts for having us!
