Hey everyone!

The Indian Student Association at the University of Michigan is back with its flagship event of the year, Diwali 2021, Light it up! to be held on November 6, 2021at the Rackham Amphitheatre, 4th floor at 6 PM.

Celebrate a night full of amazing performances by students, a Bollywood DJ night, and finger-licking Indian food!
Tickets for the event are free for all ISA members and $10 for all non-members which can be paid via Venmo, Zelle, or cash. Please don't forget to enter the names, Email IDs, and "Diwali 2021" in the comments section of the payment.

ISA is back with a Virtual Republic Day + Meet & Greet event on 29th Jan at 6:00 PM EST. The event will start with a simple quiz on India and we have surprises for winners. After the republic day celebrations, we will welcome all the first years with Bollywood trivia. Using breakout rooms on zoom, we will also give you'll a chance to interact with your peers. At the end of the event, ISA will distribute Namaste Flavor (Indian restaurant in Ann Arbor) dinner cards to all the participants (20$ to ISA-Members and $10 to non-members). The Indian Student Association at the University of Michigan is back with a new event for the Fall semester - a virtual Speed Dating event to be held on November 21, 2020 at 7 PM. Registration for the event includes a $5 fee and filling a google form- https://rb.gy/ukehzn that would serve the role of sharing your interests with potential dates. The registration fee can be paid either by Venmo or by Zelle at [email protected] with your Full Name and UMID in the memo. On receiving this information, we would be scheduling dates for the participants in the form of slots on Zoom. At the end of the event, participants would be getting gift vouchers worth $15-$20 (joint or single) from Namaste Flavours! The google form will close on (11/10) so make sure to register ASAP.

RSVP: ISA Virtual Diwali 2020 + Free Diyas

ISA is back with 2-hr Virtual Diwali event on 14th Nov at 7:00 PM EST. The event will start with a simple quiz on Ramayana and we have a surprise for winners. The quiz will be followed by cultural performances by UM Indian students. At the end of the event, ISA will distribute dinner cards to all the participants (25$ to ISA-Members and $10 to non-members). If you want to become a member then go to the ISA Membership link.

In addition to the event, ISA is distributing free diya (lamps) to everyone, which can be picked before the event. We have pickup points across the north campus. Please fill the form if you want a diya and attend the event.

Hi everyone,
ISA is back with a virtual Independence Day 2020 celebrations on 15th Aug, 10AM EST, marking the nation's 74th independence day. This event will be free for all current and upcoming students but RSVP is required. The First 100 RSVPs who will be in Ann Arbor at the time of the event will get a free Namaste Flavors restaurant dinner card worth 15$ (for ISA non-member) and 20$ (for ISA member). In this 1 hr long event, we will have a fun quiz on India, updates on ISA's upcoming events, and at the end, our national anthem. The participants who will stay with us for the entire 1 hr will only qualify for receiving the gift cards.
