Welcome to a new year in CEE!

On August 26, our newest graduate students gathered in the Blue Lounge for Graduate Orientation and Welcome, connecting with faculty, staff, and fellow CEE students as they begin their journey in the department.

Thank you to the students, staff, and faculty who helped make the event possible and continue to make CEE a welcoming community for everyone. We’re excited for the year ahead and all that our CEE community will accomplish together!

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Operations Manager and CEE alum Elizabeth Newell Wilkinson is using the “floating plant” to construct a stone rubble mound wave attenuator to blunt wave damage and prevent coastal erosion alongside Manistee Harbor, providing safer navigation for commercial and recreational vessels.
