As part of Hispanic Heritage Month activities, we invited CAC faculty and staff to share their personal reflections on Hispanic heritage, culture, and community. Join us as we celebrate their stories and perspectives.

🥘Tradiciones que unen

“A tradition/cultural experience that is meaningful to me is making tamales with my Tia and Primas…We make them year around, so it gives us more time to enjoy each other. Plus, we eat them a lot, so by the time we start running low it’s time for us to make more.”

-Veronika Mosley, M.Ed
Coordinator of Recruitment and Outreach

------

“There are so many options to choose from when it comes to Hispanic foods and none of them disappoint! However, a dish that brings me joy is menudo. Something about menudo on a Sunday morning with onions, cilantro, lemon, chiltepin and a buttered bolillo bread on the side really does it for me.”

-Raylene Lopez
Financial Aid Assistant II
