From Colorado to Washington, D.C., 2,000 miles later, Collin Chartier ’17 made it home! After 79 days on the road, the Marymount alumnus crossed the finish line of his “Running Home” journey alongside nine Marymount cross-country athletes and their coach, ending at the Lincoln Memorial.

But this journey was about more than the miles. It focused on mental health, addiction recovery and finding purpose beyond achievement, Collin used his run to raise awareness and support for the Herren Project.

Marymount alumna Julie Michelle Wilson ’01 took an unexpected career turn after discovering ballroom dancing, going from studying criminal justice and working as a government contractor to building a business around her passion for the sport.

Today, she runs a collection of businesses serving the ballroom and sports worlds, with more than 1,000 gowns and costumes in her collection, including pieces featured on Dancing with the Stars and at the Smithsonian.

Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, Kyle is joining the Saints as a Business Administration major and member of the Marymount Men’s Golf team.

Kyle grew up playing several sports before deciding to focus on golf and falling in love with the game. He’s also working toward his private pilot’s license and hopes flying will be part of his future career.

His goals for college? Qualify for every tournament, make the most of every opportunity and step outside his comfort zone.

From Air Force medic to registered nurse, John Farahifar has built his career around caring for others and meeting patients where they are.

He’s an incoming member of Marymount’s Class of 2028 and is taking the next step toward becoming a nurse practitioner through the Master of Science in Nursing Family Nurse Practitioner program.

We’re excited to welcome John to the Marymount community and follow his journey over the next few years.
