This week’s Employee Spotlight is on Jesus Davila, PA, one of our Physician Assistants at Angel Kids Pediatrics’ Northside Clinic!

In addition to caring for our patients, Jesus volunteers his time to lead Basic Life Support (BLS) training for our team members.

With 14 years of experience as an American Heart Association BLS Instructor, Jesus teaches essential lifesaving skills, including CPR for adults, children, and infants; how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED), how to respond to choking emergencies, check a pulse; use a breathing mask; and other techniques that can make a difference when every second counts.

And our team members are putting those lessons into words:

“It is important that everyone is trained in this because an emergency can happen anywhere, and if a medical professional isn’t there, you can save someone’s life.” — April

For Jesus, the training is about more than learning the proper techniques. It’s about helping every team member, from clinical staff to support teams, build the skills and confidence to respond during an emergency.

Jesus says, “The most rewarding part is watching team members develop the skills and confidence to respond when it matters most.”

When cardiac arrest or another emergency happens, every second counts. Being prepared can help save a life. At Angel Kids Pediatrics, safety is everyone’s responsibility.

Thank you, Jesus, for sharing your knowledge, experience, and time to help make Angel Kids Pediatrics a safer place for our patients, families, and team!
