Susan Lacz ('83), CEO & President of Ridgewells Catering, will be in the 3,500 sq.ft. food tent helping prepare meals for the 50,000+ attendees. Marymount University's Campus Ministry is looking for submissions from members of the MU Community, including students, faculty, staff, and alumni, to submit prayers for the third edition of the Marymount prayer book given to freshman students at orientation. This is open to all varieties of faiths, spiritualities, and writing styles. All prayers to be submitted by June 15 to allow time for publishing.
Just a reminder that we are looking for any students, faculty, staff, or alumni of Marymount to write prayers for our third edition of the Marymount prayer book, targeted at incoming freshman but also for all students. This will be given at their orientation, with the hope being that it is a book they can refer to throughout their time at Marymount and beyond. It will include prayers compiled by past and present students as well as faculty and staff accompanied by pictures of both sacred spaces on campus and students. We are looking for a wide variety of faiths, spiritualities, and writing styles to be represented in the book. We hope you will consider submitting one!
Please keep it to a minimum of 1 page, possibly even keep it to 4 stanzas/paragraphs or less. Even just a short prayer is fine! If possible, please write a title. Please submit them by June 15, 2018 so that we have time to publish the book before Orientation week!
