Our very own Dr. Dereje Agonafer was elected to the National Academy of Engineering (NAE)! This is an incredible milestone to reach in an engineer's career. Congratulations Dereje for this well-deserved honor! This also boosts UTA closer to reaching Tier 1 status.

Reby Cary, the first African American employed at UTA in 1969, died on December 7, 2018. He taught in the Department of History and contributed to our university and community in so many ways.
