🎓 Start Early: Why Prepping for the SAT and ACT Sooner Is Better 🎓
Parents often tell us they wish their teens had started SAT/ACT prep earlier. Once students begin studying, their confidence and scores rise—and everyone wonders how much higher they could’ve gone with more time.
✅ Why start early?
Get comfortable with test formats and key skills
Review and strengthen math and grammar fundamentals
Practice pacing and build stamina under time pressure
Improve reading comprehension and vocabulary over time
Take the test multiple times to learn and aim higher
🗓️ When to start:
Ideally, begin in the summer before 10th grade or early in the school year. This gives students a relaxed runway to prepare for the October PSAT and build skills without stress.
Some parents even choose to start as early as 9th grade, giving their students extra time to master foundational skills and reduce pressure later on.
If 10th grade isn’t possible, starting early in junior year still offers multiple test dates to refine strategies and hit score goals.
