๐ Thank you for everything, Maggie!
After more than a decade of leading Downtown Arlington, we officially said farewell to our founding President & CEO, Maggie Campbell, as she retired on September 30.
Maggie had a busy final few weeks with Downtown Arlington! On September 26, she helped put on the largest Downtown Arlington Classic Car Show yet, an event she started that has grown into a signature Arlington tradition.
She also attended the 2026 International Downtown Association conference, where she received the Inspired Leader Award, a prestigious honor recognizing downtown management professionals who have made a lasting impact on their organizations and communities.
So much of what we love about Downtown Arlington is here because of Maggie. From helping bring Levitt Pavilion Arlington to life in 2008 to seeing the vision for Front Street come together with Rotary Dream Park and the return of the Downtown Arlington Farmers Market, she's spent years finding ways to make downtown a better place. She's helped bring new businesses downtown, support local developments, expand public art, and establish programs like the Arlington Ambassador Clean and Safe Program. Along the way, she mentored Garret Martin, who started as an intern and stepped into his new role as President & CEO on October 1.
And retirement doesn't mean goodbye just yet! She's continuing to help produce the Arlington Holiday Lights Parade on December 12, supporting yet another beloved Arlington tradition.
Maggie, thank you for the years of hard work, the relationships you've built, and everything you've done for our downtown. Downtown Arlington wouldn't be what it is today without your leadership, dedication, and vision for what this community could become.
Here's to your next chapter! ๐๐ฅ
