A look into our chapel services from this past week! 🙏📖

This week, we began our journey through Romans and were challenged to examine how the Gospel shapes every part of our lives.

Pastor Zer Surigao, College Pastor from Fielder Church, walked us through Romans 1:1–17 and reminded us:

• The Gospel shapes who we are.
• The Gospel changes how we see other people.
• The Gospel is the power by which we live.

Pastor Joshua, our ABU Campus Pastor, continued through Romans 1:18–32 and challenged our hearts with an important question:

What truth from God are you suppressing because accepting it might require something from you?

We are so thankful for a week of challenging, encouraging, and Christ-centered chapel services. Our prayer is that we would not simply hear the truth of the Gospel, but allow it to transform the way we live.

One of our favorite moments during the first week of school is seeing each new ABU student receive something truly special during chapel—a brand-new Bible. 📖

This is so much more than a gift. It’s a reminder that as our students begin this new chapter, they never have to walk through it alone. We want every student to be equipped with God’s Word, grounded in truth, and prepared to grow not only in the classroom, but also in their faith.

It’s one of the little things we do at ABU that carries such a big purpose. We are so grateful to be a part of helping prepare our students for the year ahead and, most importantly, for a life of following Christ! ✝️

Starting the school year off strong with a chapel full of prayer, fellowship, and fun!

Today, our students had the opportunity to get to know their peers through a fun game of ABU Bingo and Bible Jeopardy! We are so excited to see how the Lord connects each one of them to one another and, most importantly, draws them closer to Him.

We’re praying for a year filled with growth, fellowship, and a deeper relationship with Christ! 💙

We’re so excited and beyond blessed to have our Patriots back on campus for the fall semester! We’re praying for a year filled with learning, growth, new opportunities, and most importantly, growing closer to Christ.

There are some people who become such a special part of a place that it’s hard to imagine it without them. Mrs. Janie Taylor is one of those people. ❤️💙

For 40 years, Mrs. Taylor has faithfully served Arlington Baptist University and, more importantly, loved and cared for generations of ABU students. She has given so much of herself to this university, and the impact she has made simply can’t be measured in years.

Mrs. Taylor, thank you for the countless hours, the kindness, the encouragement, the laughter, the memories, the prayers, and the genuine love you have shown our students and the entire ABU family. You have been a constant presence at ABU, and you have touched more lives than you will ever know.

It won’t be the same without seeing you here every day, and you will be deeply missed. But after 40 years, you are so much a part of ABU that you will always be woven into who we are and all that we do.

We love you, Mrs. Taylor, and we are so thankful for the 40 years you gave to ABU. We pray this next chapter brings you all the joy and blessings you so deserve.

You may be leaving ABU, but you will never stop being part of the ABU family. ❤️💙
