UNC Asheville alumnus (Class of 2013) and Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Jethro Waters joined Dr. Don Diefenbach’s Sci-Fi & Horror Film class today to discuss his film Gunfighter Paradise and share insights into the filmmaking process.

🎥 Join us TONIGHT, Friday, October 23, 2026, for a special screening of Gunfighter Paradise!

🕖 Time: 7 p.m.
📍 Location: Blue Ridge Room, Highsmith Student Union
🎟️ Admission: FREE and open to the public!

MCOM LIFTS ME UP!

After a bit of a wait, the Karpen Hall elevator is officially back in service and MCOM is celebrating! 🎉

Our students have climbed enough stairs to earn some bragging rights, so we marked the occasion with a little fun, a lot of enthusiasm, and our new MCOM Lifts Me Up stickers.

Most importantly, having the elevator back means better access to our MCOM spaces and our Mac Lab!
