UNC Asheville is expanding its work to support the health and well-being of communities across North Carolina. ๐
The NC Center for Health and Wellness at UNC Asheville (NCCHW) has received a $1.2 million, three-year grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Servicesโ Administration for Community Living (ACL) to expand programs supporting older adults and adults with disabilities.
โNCCHW is very excited to receive this grant award that will build on our collaborative statewide partnerships and successes to improve systems of care and make a significant impact on the health and well-being of older adults in North Carolina,โ said NCCHW CDSME Project Director Vivian Gettys, M.P.H., M.A., R.N.
The project will connect more people with evidence-based wellness programs, behavioral health resources and community support.
