Gold Star Mother’s and Family’s Day

Behind every fallen service member is a family whose sacrifice continues long after their loved one’s service has ended.
Gold Star Mother’s and Family’s Day recognizes the mothers, spouses, children, and families of those who gave their lives in service to our nation.
May we always remember the fallen, speak their names, and stand beside the families who carry their legacy forward.

On National POW/MIA Recognition Day, we remember their courage and sacrifice and reaffirm our commitment to never forget those who have yet to return home.

Thank you to everyone in our Ashland University and surrounding community who showed up, climbed, supported, and helped make Flights of Honor, 9/11 Remembrance Challenge, meaningful.

Today was about remembering the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001, honoring the first responders and service members who made the ultimate sacrifice, and recognizing the families forever changed by that day. Every step was a reminder of the courage, sacrifice, and selflessness shown that day and in the years that followed.

25 years later, we remember. We honor. We never forget.

More than eight decades later, the legacy of the Americans who served during the war lives on.
V-J Day allows us to remember their courage, their sacrifices, and a generation whose service changed the course of history.

"Airborne" is more than a qualification—it's a legacy.

National Airborne Day commemorates the Army's first official parachute jump on August 16, 1940, and recognizes the generations of paratroopers who have answered the call to serve.

To everyone who has earned the parachutist badge, thank you for your courage, commitment, and service.

Airborne!
