Some of our fellow Ashland nursing students had the incredible opportunity to travel to Belize this past week on a medical brigade! 🇧🇿🩺
While there, they provided medical care and support to wonderful, kind people who often have little to no access to a dentist or medical doctor. They assisted with wellness exams, distributed medications, and hygiene kits, did home visits, and taught children about the importance of oral hygiene.
They also encountered patients living with dangerously high blood pressures and blood sugars, highlighting just how important access to consistent healthcare is.
It was an incredible experience filled with meaningful connections, learning, and the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others. We are so proud of our Ashland nursing students and all the work they did! ❤️🩺🌎
