Atascadero Masonic Lodge no. 493

We could not be more pleased to announce that the Atascadero Masonic Lodge has now officially consolidated it's membership with Thaddeus Sherman Lodge of Paso Robles to create Cypress Mountain Lodge no. 196.

Why Cypress Mountain?

For those of you who might not know, Cypress Mountain is located near Templeton and overlooks both the Atascadero and Paso Robles areas. This name was selected for our new lodge to symbolize our mindset and our intentions in both communities. We will strive to maintain a strong presence in Northern San Luis Obispo county and watch over our neighbors.

What does consolidation mean?

Whether it is the Order of the Eastern Star, the Freemasons, or even the Elks, consolidation is a fairly common occurrence. Two or more bodies within the organization pool their funds, resources, and membership into one centralized hub. This is an effective method for increased impact in the community.

Now what?

Now it's your your turn! Go ahead and like/follow Cypress Mountain Masonic Lodge No. 196 F&AM so you stay up to date with our lodge. Be sure to share any posts that you find interesting and spread the word about our upcoming events with friends and family. Remember, the more we are able to spread across social media, the better chance we have of reaching those who need us.

To some today is just a day off from work. It represents a relaxing three day weekend. However it is important to remember that today is meant to mean something so much more.

We honor on this day the countless men and women who have fought and died for our great nation. Those who fought in the place of those who cannot.

Please, take a moment to consider this on Memorial Day. There could not be a more important day to celebrate.

Atascadero joins San Luis Obispo County in mourning today. Our thoughts and heartfelt prayers go out to the family of Detective Luca Benedetti, who tragically died in the line of duty. He is and forever will be a hero.

As many community members may have noticed, the Atascadero Masonic Lodge's page has been painfully inactive for quite some time now. This has been partially due to major transitions which are happening within the lodge and it is your right as members of the community to be updated.

It is my sad duty to inform you that the Atascadero Masonic Lodge's property at 2607 Traffic Way in Atascadero has been sold due to financial constraints. Our membership is currently meeting at the Thaddeus Sherman Lodge in Paso Robles. It is important however to understand that Atascadero Masons remain proud members of the community and we continue to dedicate ourselves to the betterment of Atascadero.
