Student International Business Council | Benedictine College

Student International Business Council | Benedictine College Peace Through Commerce The SIBC also provides opportunties for domestic and international travel through leadership conferences and diverse business projects.

The SIBC is a virtual passport for Benedictine College students to build real-world business & leadership experience that can't be obtained in the classroom. Working under SIBC founder Frank Potenziani's guiding principle of "Peace Through Commerce", we believe that international commerce is a preferred means for faciliating positive change in the world - in other words, countries that do business

together are less likely to engage in war. The SIBC is is not just for business majors and adds an international component to students’ lives, helping many find a higher life purpose than just "getting a job". You are invited to find out more about how to get involved with the SIBC by exploring our website and attending our monthly all-council meetings held on-campus. Stay tuned for exciting opportunities and updates and feel free to share your own ideas for possible projects. Thank you for visiting and we look forward to working with you to promote "Peace Through Commerce". Don't forget to follow us on Twitter

In case anyone is wondering what a Black Swan is as it pertains to the market, here is a brief definition. "An event or occurrence that deviates beyond what is normally expected of a situation and that would be extremely difficult to predict." This term was popularized by Nassim Nicholas Taleb, a finance professor and former Wall Street trader.
