โจ What a beautiful day to celebrate our Benedictine College School of Nursing Class of 2026 as they transition from the classroom to the bedside ๐ฉบ.
The afternoon began with our traditional Nursing Pinning Ceremony at 1:00 p.m. in OโMalley-McAllister Auditorium and concluded with Baccalaureate Mass this evening, a day grounded in faith, service, and the call to care for others. ๐
The Pinning Ceremony is one of nursingโs most cherished traditions, originating in the 1860s at the Nightingale School of Nursing in London. It welcomes new graduates into the profession through the blessing of hands โ and the presentation of the Benedictine College Nursing Pin, a symbol they will carry throughout their careers as a reminder of who they serve and why.
To our Class of 2026: we are so proud of you. You have earned this moment through long clinical hours, late-night study sessions โ, simulation labs, and the quiet acts of compassion that already mark you as nurses. As you step into practice, may your hands be steady, your hearts be open, and your work always be a ministry to those entrusted to your care. ๐
Congratulations, Ravens! ๐ฆโโฌ The profession is better because you are in it. ๐๏ธ
Now on to graduation! ๐ See you at Commencement, 10:00 a.m. tomorrow! ๐
๐ธ Family and friends, if you were with us at the Pinning, please drop some pictures in the comments! We would love to see them and celebrate alongside you!
