John J. Kopchick Awards support 14 student and faculty research projects

TBS students Meredith Chaput, Nick Whitticar, and Charlotte Yang were presented their John J. Kopchick Fellowship Awards at last weekend's joint MCB/TBS retreat. The awards provide $15,000 toward translational research and off-campus internships. OHIO makes progress on strategic research goals

"Over the last year, the Research Division also has continued efforts to support the Translational Biomedical Sciences doctoral program, which launched in 2014. The division recently completed and received approval for a plan to use royalties from University technology commercialization licenses to create quasi-endowments that will provide long-term financial support for the program."

Dallin Tavoian is a PhD candidate in Ohio University’s Translational Biomedical Sciences program. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training/Exercise Science from Southern Utah University and his Master of Science, Athletic Training from Ohio University.
