Student Spotlight: Congratulations to Sophia Flemming, Ph.D. Candidate!

We’re proud to recognize Sophia for a remarkable set of accomplishments. She was selected as the graduate student recipient of the Giles Encouragement Award, received a Mellon Grant supporting her work in Spring and Summer 2026, and was invited to—and has accepted—participation in the New Georgia Encyclopedia (NGE) xPD Graduate School Summer Internship.
