Researchers from the School of Social Work and the College of Public Health recently received a $2.8m R01 Grant from the National Institutes of Health. SSW Associate Professor Karen Johnson (Principal Investigator), and co-investigators CPH Ernest Corn Professor Ye Shen, and CPH Associate Professor Mohammad Rifat Haider will collaborate on E-WORTH South (Empowering African American Women on the Road To Health). CEU Registration is now closed.

On Saturday, October 3, catch up with fellow alumni, reconnect with friends and faculty, and celebrate everything that makes our Social Work community so special at the Alumni Council Tailgate. This tailgate is held at the school and does not include game tickets or parking; please plan to arrange your own in advance. We'll take care of the food, drinks, and fun!

Scholarships can close that gap without adding to a student’s debt. In 2025–26, 49% of our BSW students demonstrated financial need, with an average $10,695 gap in aid before loans and Federal Work-Study. Even after those resources, students faced an average $7,984 gap. Help close the gap by giving today!
