AUTUMN SALON: Art Ambassadors earn service-learning credits by assisting with tours and information sessions for prospective students and by participating in cultural events, receptions, and exhibitions. Each year, Art Ambassadors collaborate to produce an exhibition of their own work. For this year’s exhibition, we have artists and designers from Interior Architecture, Art Therapy, Graphic Design, and Studio Art. Students from first-year through senior year are represented. The work will be on view Tuesday, October 6 through Thursday, October 22. Please join us for a public artist reception 3:30 - 5:30 on Thursday, October 8th, and enjoy light refreshments. Be sure to visit the show during the next few weeks during gallery hours: 1-5 pm Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri, and 1-8 pm on Thu.

Thursday, October 1st, 5:30–7 pm. Led by Mateo Galvano, we will guide participants through simple prompts to create unique images inspired by our current exhibitions. Using dry media such as graphite and colored pencils, we will explore mark-making on translucent materials, including tracing paper and plastic vellum. Feel free to bring a sketchbook. Materials are provided by the Ohio Arts Council. 
 
~Making art with others builds shared connection, reduces stress, and fosters empathy.
 
All levels: no prior experience required. Everyone is welcome to join our free session. No registration necessary. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

The BARBARA GERALDS INSTITUTE for STORYTELLING and SOCIAL IMPACT invites all current OHIO University international students to submit their most compelling photographs that tell stories of culture, community, and connection — in OHIO and around the world — for the 3rd Annual 3C Photo Exhibition!

Hosted by the Barbara Geralds Institute for Storytelling and Social Impact, the 3C Photo Exhibitions celebrates the perspectives, experiences, and creative vision of Ohio University’s international student community.

Sixteen (16) photos will be printed and unveiled at a reception in The Front Room Coffeehouse during the first week of the fall semester.

Submission deadline: July 31, 2026.

👉 How to submit your photos

You may submit up to five photos(5).

1. Make sure your images:
* Were taken by you, not photos of you taken by someone else
* Are minimally edited, with no major changes to the image content using editing software or generative AI
* Are the highest possible quality for printing
* Were not submitted for consideration in last year’s 3C Photo Exhibitions

2. Create a OneDrive folder that includes:
* Your image files
* A Word document with the title and a short written description for each image, maximum 50 words per description

3. Email your OneDrive link to:

FRIENDSGIVING! Save the date for an upcoming festive fundraiser hosted by the Friends of the Kennedy Museum of Art! Saturday, September 26th, 4:30-6:30 PM at h Zenner House.

The FKMA is a nonprofit organization that supports the KMA. Funds raised will help support research, visiting curators, guest artists, exhibition costs, and expanded programming.

Enjoy music by the Hellbender Organ Trio, catering by Olive Branch, and artisanal mocktails and cocktails by Lucy’s Open Bar.
The silent auction will feature curated printsfrom the KMA and a variety of fine art and arts experiences.

NICHES N NOOKS: This pop-up exhibition consists of mixed media sculptures and installations spaced throughout and around the CENTRAL CLASSROOM BUILDING as a culmination of this semester’s Environments + Actions class. Each piece is responsive to the architecture and limitations of the building, finding and defining Niches N Nooks in often overlooked spaces. A TYPE DESIGN EXHIBITION: Please join us at RTEC 101 for a festive public reception on Thursday, April 30, 6:00-8:00pm! View the design projects from the ART 3571 -Type Design: Designing, Drawing, and Developing Typefaces course.

In this course, students study techniques and processes used by professional type designers as well as the methodologies and software used to produce digital typefaces, and they apply these to produce their original functional typefaces that communicate a clear contextual or conceptual idea.
