Concord University Office of Sponsored Programs Concord University's OSP is committed to aiding the Concord community with funding opportunities in support of students, faculty, and staff.

The OSP’s role in aiding Concord University's community is to be a leading and responsive source for information relating to external funding opportunities in support of students, faculty, and staff. We are available to assist our faculty and staff through the grant seeking and award process for sponsored programs and research. Our office facilitates nontechnical aspects of proposal development an

d award administration in tandem with the Principal Investor. The OSP is committed to enhance and facilitate Concord's Research and external funding by providing services in a timely and professional manner. Please contact the Office of Sponsored Programs if we can be of any assistance.

This series is to help introduce and highlight the faces of CU's Office of Sponsored Programs. Meet our Grants Accountant, Jacob Bishop!

Jacob graduated with his Accounting degree in 2024, and he found himself in OSP in November of 2024. Jacob is a life long citizen of Southern West Virginia, and he appreciates the community that CU has to offer- he looks forward to continuing to participate in our community at CU!

Get to know the Concord University OSP Team!

This series is to help introduce and highlight the faces of CU's Office of Sponsored Programs. Meet our Grants Manager, Emily Peck!

Emily is a Concord Alumni, graduating from Concord University with her Bachelor’s in 2022 and her Master’s in 2023. Emily began working close to Concord University in January 2025, working with Gear Up before coming over to OSP later that same year. She looks forward to continuing to showcase her dedication to communication and community here in OSP!

After a highly competitive national search, Concord University names Dr. Tony Artimisi as the institutions next Provost. Dr. Artimisi brings more than 20 years of experience in higher education, with a strong background in academic leadership, program development, and institutional effectiveness.

At Winston-Salem State University, he has served as Associate Provost of Academic Strategy and Institutional Effectiveness, Department Chair of Liberal Studies, and tenured Associate Professor of Music where he led important efforts to strengthen institutional policies related to student success, enhance accreditation processes, and advance a culture of continuous improvement. He has guided program development, assessment planning, and curricular innovation while supporting faculty and student success.

“Dr. Artimisi’s career demonstrates a deep commitment to academic excellence and collaboration,” said President Bethany Meighen. “His work in articulating student learning outcomes, evaluating program effectiveness, and aligning academic offerings with institutional strategy reflects the kind of thoughtful leadership that will serve Concord well.”
