YOU JUST GOT KAOLINED!!! 😝😝Send this to somebody you know to KAOLIN THEM TOO!!🫪🫪🫪

Kaolin is a clay mineral commonly mined in the state of Georgia!! Geologists use a quick, field-ready “tongue test” to identify it based on how it interacts with moisture. When a piece of dry kaolin clay touches a wet tongue, it instantly bonds and sticks tightly to the surface!!! 👅🪨

Kaolin is most commonly used to manufacture porcelain, paper, skincare products, and stomach medication!! 🗒️🧴💊

Dr. Paul Schroeder and his team help students study clays and clay minerals—the Earth’s most common nanocrystals! 🔮

An example is Kaolin! Kaolin is a common clay mineral mined in Georgia that’s used in stomach medicine 💊 and skincare! 🧴

Using tools like Raman spectroscopy, radiogenic, cosmogenic, and stable isotopes, chemical and thermal analyses, plus X-ray 🩻 and electron diffraction, Dr. Schroeder’s team conducts game changing experiments to advance our understanding of clay systems! 🧪✨
