Senators represent all students and advocate the student opinion to administrators through legislation and as members of university communities. Throughout its history, the Ohio University Student Senate has strived to provide a forum to students so that their voices are heard. Student Senate provides student leaders the opportunity to interact both with each other and with administrators, faculty, community leaders and their constituents. Not only is the Student Senate an advocacy body for the students — a place for open communication and debate about the current issues on campus — but it is also a place to propose changes for the future of students at this university.

The Journey of International Bobcats During Covid-19 is a live event that will be hosted by Ohio University to raise support for international bobcats who, due to visa restrictions, are unable to work off-campus and need to pay for rent, food, and other necessities to continue living in Athens, Ohio.

Alicia Lundy-Morse ([email protected], @alicialundy21) is a double major in Urban Planning and Political Science and is a member of OU Dems and PAD.
She's spending her summer in Athens working at the Voinovich School at OU as a GIS Student Tech.
We'd like to introduce you to our Treasurer!
Lydia Ramlo ([email protected]) is a Civil Engineering and Enviornmental Studies major. Along with senate, she is also a member of Tau Beta Pi, Chi Epsilon, and the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists.
Lydia is interning at Strand Associates (an engineering firm) in Cincinnati focusing on projects dealing with municipalities' stormwater and green infrastructure.
Vice President: Hannah Burke ([email protected], @Imhnb) is a political science major with a minor in economics and Spanish. She's also an active member of the College Democrats.
This summer she is interning at LakewoodAlive, as an AmeriCorps summer VISTA.
We can't wait to get back on campus and get to know all of our fellow Bobcats! In the meantime, we wanted to introduce ourselves to you one-at-a-time over the course of a few days, starting with our wonderful President, Maddie Sloat
Maddie Sloat ([email protected]) is an HTC Political Communication major and a Spanish Minor. She is one of the founders of the @TPPAthens, and a member of SAB.
This summer she's in her hometown of Pittsburgh to intern with the non-profit Allies for Children!
