No one should have to face dementia alone.

The UGA Institute of Gerontology and CARE Center are excited to launch a crowdfunding fundraising campaign for unrestricted support of the CARE Center.

A generous alumnus has committed $25,000 as matching funds, so all gifts will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $25,000.

This campaign will be active from September 18–25, honoring World Alzheimer’s Day.

Blue light—short wavelengths of visible light emitted by smartphones, computers, and TVs—impairs the eye’s ability to distinguish fine detail more than any other wavelength, according to a new study led by our very own Yaw Buabeng.

The UGA HR Benefits Fair took place today, and the Institute of Gerontology's CARE Center faculty were delighted to attend, talk all things brain health, provide resources for UGA's caregivers, and even conduct a cognitive screening or two.

Graduation time is always bittersweet. We are so unequivocally, proud of the extraordinary students who entrust us with mentorship, but we sure miss them when they are gone!
