The Global Health Initiative is putting together a conference on Immigrant & Migrant Health on March 11 and 12. As part of this conference, students are putting together an interactive programming during the Meet and Greet session on Friday evening (March 11th). One of the projects I am involved with is called "What do you travel with?" Most individuals carry with them some memories when travelling away from home. This is especially true for individuals that travel to the United States from other countries. This project, which will be a compilation of the survey results, is intended to create awareness of immigrants and provide a more humanistic approach to the label "immigrants". (For this project, immigrants is broadly defined as anyone who temporarily or permanently relocates)

This is an anonymous survey that is intended only to create awareness that we are all more similar than we think. As part of this survey, you will be asked to upload or submit a picture.

The picture can be an item, picture, spice/food, utensil, a traditional home remedy or medicinal item that reminds you of your loved ones or your home country. The results of this survey will be compiled to create a presentation and will be used for educational purposes only. Research is not an intended objective of this project. The survey itself will only take about 5 minutes.
