Diabetes is a disease that affects many Americans and has MANY side effects if left uncontrolled. Most people don’t know that foot care, in diabetic patients, are IMPERATIVE because of the possibility of nerve damage, reduced blood flow, bone abnormalities and other complications. Diabetic foot exams are important because they can help prevent serious foot problems, such as ulcers, infections, injuries and even amputations. 🦶🏾🦵🏾

World Pneumonia Day is on November 12, 2019. It is a day where we educate about the dangers of pneumonia and how to prevent it. Pneumonia is an infection that inflames the air sacs in either one or both lungs, which may be filled with fluid. Pneumonia is a very common disease that kills a lot of people especially those who are HIV/AIDS positive. These individuals may have a compromised immune system, making them more likely to be infected. Pneumonia can be prevented by the getting the Pneumonia vaccines and there are currently different kinds of pneumonia vaccines available on the market. #BreakStigmasSaveLives #SNPhARTRWarriors #RemembertheRibbon #Legacy #SNPhAOI #Region2ItsWhatWeDo #SNPhARegionII #StrengthInPurpose #SNPhA

Patients with HIV run the risk of developing other comorbidities if treatment is not optimized. In some patients, the addition of chronic kidney disease poses more threats to them receiving optimal care. For this reason, Project Keepsake and Remember the Ribbon are partnering up to bring awareness to this issue and hope that you will help us educate the public on this important topic. #RemembertheRibbon #SNPhARTR #SNPhA #SNPhARegionII #LongLiveTheLEGACY #SNPhA2020Vision

“Living with HIV or not... we're fighting this together”
Latinx AIDS Awareness Day (NLAAD) is observed on October 15 to increase awareness of the impact of HIV/AIDS in the Hispanic/Latino population in the United States. The theme this year is, “Living with HIV or not... we're fighting this together” which means we are all in things together. Stigma, fear, and discrimination may affect the lives of some Hispanics and raise barriers for reaching out about HIV testing and treatment. Living with HIV or not we all have a role to play in stopping stigma and ending the HIV epidemic. #NLAAD

Today [email protected] and the global vaccine community will be celebrating World Polio Day!!!! We've witnessed a 99.9% drop in the disease since 1989, but we need your help to go the last mile.
One in five children – or over 22 million – worldwide are still un- or under-vaccinated, most of them in low-income countries. About one and a half million children still die each year from diseases that vaccines can prevent. #Vaccines #saves #lives #SNPhA #[email protected] #eradicatepolio
Polio is on its last leg but is still an ongoing issue in many 3rd world countries! " A single dose of oral polio vaccine costs US$ 0.08. The annual direct savings of polio eradication once immunization stops will be US$ 1.5 billion per year!!! #eradicatepolio #congress #shotatlife
