Hey OAKS! Check out the photos from OAKtoberfest! It was great to see so much Menlo College pride on display.

This past Saturday, we celebrated our Menlo College community. This year's OAKtoberFest celebration proved to be the biggest and best ever on our campus. Over 1,800 people participated in various events of the day - alumni gatherings, campus tours, athletic events, rock climbing, games, food trucks, Devil’s Canyon beer, wine, dancing, singing, and more. We thank all those who participated in and planned this event. Be sure to tag yourself or anyone you know!

Check out the photos from the First-Year Student Retreat. Does it bring back memories?

Alumni were on hand throughout the retreat, facilitating activities and getting to know our new students - can you spot them?

At the start of the semester, we took 166 incoming students to Walker Creek Ranch for our First-Year Student Retreat.

Students experienced a combination of activities including education programming, social activities and outdoor fun, that gave them time to bond and build relationships with each other as well as with the staff and faculty who were present.

We surveyed the students at the end of the retreat and an overwhelming majority reported that, as a result of attending the retreat, they felt a greater sense of belonging at Menlo and a commitment to their educational journey!

In conjunction with Student Affairs, the Office of Alumni Engagement and Development hosted a mixer between past and current RAs. Over ten alumni came out to share their experience - on behalf of our students, thank you!

This year, the Office of Alumni Engagement and Development & The Office of Student Affairs teamed up to host the annual RA Alumni Mixer. This mixer is an opportunity for the incoming team of RAs to gain feedback and insight from former RAs. It is also a great opportunity for former RAs to visit campus and see some of their fellow alumni! Participants were offered free food, drink, Menlo swag and fun, as they competed for "best team handshake" and entered a raffle for free movie tickets and Menlo gear (won by Ty Lauderdale '18). This event was just a sneak peek of some of the fun to be had at Oaktoberfest, coming up soon, on Saturday, October 27th. Mark your calendars!

Dr. Marar's Human Rights class is hosting an Art Show displaying immigrant art expressing issues they may face or expressions of culture.
