Research, collaboration and new connections 🤝
 
Last week, researchers from the Andrew Young School and the School of Public Health came together for AYS & SPH Research Speed Networking. The event featured brief research presentations followed by a speed networking session designed to spark new collaborations and connections across disciplines.
 
Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the afternoon a great opportunity to share ideas and explore what’s possible when researchers connect.

A great conversation on the future of learning! 🎓✨

Yesterday, AYS hosted “How to Pilot Microcredentials”, bringing together faculty and staff to explore GSU’s microcredential and digital badging initiative, opportunities for campus implementation, and platforms for delivery.

Thank you to Nancy Byron, Eric Floyd, and Shondra Green-Harris for sharing their insights and helping us think about how microcredentials can support student learning and professional development.

👏 Ari Redzepagic, Viridiana Hernandez, and Nicholas Daniels earned Best Group Oral Presentation for their research on the feasibility and impact of universal free school lunch across Georgia’s public schools.
 
👏 Sayna Kaushik earned Best Individual Oral Presentation for her research evaluating AI powered civic information systems and their ability to provide trustworthy, accessible voter information.
