Atlanta Technical College Atlanta Technical College is an accredited institution of higher education that provides associates ATC offers affordable online and on campus programs.

Named one of the Nation’s Best Community Colleges by Washington Monthly Magazine, Atlanta Technical College has more than 100 programs of study including paralegal studies, carpentry, heating and air-conditioning repair, electronics, aviation maintenance, digital media, supply chain management, culinary arts, barbering, automotive repair, and early childhood education and cosmetology. The college recently opened a $14.8 million allied health complex that houses a host of programs dedicated to the medical profession. The average cost of full-time tuition is less than $4,800 per academic year and most students qualify for some form of financial aid.

Today, Atlanta Technical College and the Technically Speaking Toastmasters Club celebrated Hispanic Heritage Monthby highlighting the rich culture, traditions, and delicious foods that make Hispanic heritage so special!

Atlanta Technical College proudly celebrates Thomas Peoples, Student Success Advisor, for receiving the prestigious Student Impact Award from the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG).

For more than 20 years, Thomas has exemplified servant leadership, unwavering dedication, and a student-centered approach that has transformed the lives of countless students. Throughout his career as a Learning Support Tutor, Achievement Coach, and Student Success Advisor, he has remained committed to helping students “Start Strong, Stay Strong, and Finish Strong.”

Thomas is known for meeting students where they are, helping them overcome barriers, navigate academic challenges, and stay focused on achieving their educational and career goals. From guiding new and returning students through enrollment and academic planning to connecting them with critical support services, his impact extends far beyond the students he personally advises.

What makes Thomas truly exceptional is his commitment to fostering a culture of student success across the institution. Through collaboration, mentorship, and leadership, he has helped strengthen systems and services that support student retention, engagement, and achievement.
