Meet one of our new Graduate Assistants, Nolan Barnes! Nolan is pursuing a general MBA at the Stetson-Hatcher School of Business and expects to graduate in May 2027. He previously earned his undergraduate degree in Business Management with a minor in Finance from Mercer University.

The community, resources, and global experiences Nolan found at Mercer made continuing his education here an easy choice. His MBA is helping him build the strategic and financial skills needed to pursue his goal of leading development projects in the service and hospitality industry.

As a Graduate Assistant in the advising office, Nolan hopes to support students through academic and career coaching while learning more about the operations behind running a program. He also looks forward to connecting Mercer students with their community and new opportunities while encouraging Mercer’s culture of servant leadership.

Meet one of our new Graduate Assistants, Amareaya Bell! Amareaya is pursuing a general MBA at the Stetson-Hatcher School of Business and expects to graduate in Spring 2028. She previously earned her BBA in Finance with a minor in Economics from Mercer University.

Mercer’s supportive environment, strong community, and dedicated faculty inspired Amareaya to continue her education here. Through leadership opportunities, professional development, student involvement, and hands-on experiences, she built a strong foundation in business while strengthening her communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.

As a Graduate Assistant, Amareaya hopes to develop her project management, analytical, and operational abilities while learning more about higher education administration and student engagement. She also looks forward to supporting prospective and current students, giving back to the Mercer community, and gaining valuable experience before pursuing law school.
