We have received 100 submission, 11 hours of films from our FMT undergraduate and graduate filmmaking community!

Congratulations to all of our student filmmakers for their hard work in completing their films!

We will screen all submitted work on Monday and Tuesday, May 4th and 5th in One Park Place Theater beginning at Noon on both days, with over 3 hours of films screening each day. The screenings are free and open to the public.

The screening selection committee, composed of FMT film faculty will select a 75-minute program from the 79 FMT student films submitted, and we will announce those film selections on Wednesday May 6th. Those selected films will screen at the Rialto Center for the Arts on Friday May 8th at 7pm.

The winners will receive awards thanks to generosity of our sponsor!

We were excited to welcome Dr. Al Martin to Professor Ethan Tussey's Audience and Fan Studies graduate seminar last week to discuss his new book, Fandom, For Us By Us (NYU Press, 2026).

Dr. Martin joined our students for a conversation.

After the seminar, the discussion continued with a conversation about the film Sinners, with Dr. Martin serving as our special guest respondent.

Thank you to Dr. Martin for sharing his work and insights with our students!
