🇺🇸 250 Years of Liberty, Principles, and Legacy 🇺🇸

Today, we commemorate the 250th Anniversary of the Independence of the United States—a milestone that marked the birth of a nation founded upon the ideals of liberty, equality, and self-government.

Freemasonry played a meaningful role during this historic era. Among the Founding Fathers who were Freemasons were George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, John Hancock, and Paul Revere, whose leadership helped establish a nation built upon the principles of liberty, reason, and civic responsibility.

Among the signers of the United States Declaration of Independence who are widely recognized as Freemasons were Benjamin Franklin, John Hancock, William Hooper, Richard Stockton, and Thomas McKean.

While not every leader of the American Revolution was a Freemason, the Masonic ideals of liberty, fraternity, tolerance, and the pursuit of truth left a lasting influence on the early Republic.

As we celebrate these 250 years, we are reminded that building a nation—like building one’s character—requires virtue, diligent labor, and an unwavering commitment to the common good.

🔹 The true greatness of a Freemason is measured not by his words, but by the good he does for others.

Charity, Philanthropy, and Altruism are fundamental pillars of Freemasonry because they remind us that the Light we receive in the Lodge must be projected into the world.

To be a Freemason is to extend a helping hand to those in need, to relieve suffering, to promote education, and to work selflessly for the welfare of humanity.

Every act of kindness, no matter how small it may seem, is another stone in the construction of a more just, fraternal, and humane world.

Freemasonry teaches us that love for our fellow man is not an option; it is a duty. 🕊️🤝📐

For this reason, and because many of our members are of Venezuelan origin, we invite our Dear Brethren and friends to contribute to this campaign, which will greatly assist the ongoing rescue and relief efforts during this critical time.

The devastation in Venezuela following the June 24 earthquake is heartbreaking to every man and woman of goodwill.

The Point within the Circle symbolizes the Mason’s bond with the Divine, a reminder to keep all actions within the bounds of Virtue and Honor. The Parallel Lines signify that every decision must be guided by both Wisdom and the Strength of our ideals.

Together, they represent our eternal quest for the Light of Knowledge—a rhythmic cycle of coming and going in the pursuit of human progress.

An invitation to be humble and make a difference for your family and community.

This symbol also represents the individual brother on his journey of self development within the fraternity; the Circle the boundary line of his duty and an admonition to self-control. The Circle touches two parallel lines, representing St. John the Baptist and St. John the Evangelist. In passing around this circle, the individual Mason must touch both lines, opposite sides (morality and righteousness vs. brotherly love and charity) to be a well-rounded

The FIFA World Cup starts TODAY!!! ⚽️

As an interesting side note, there is a connection between Freemasonry and the history of soccer.

The first rules of soccer were elaborated by the new “Football Association” in 1863 in the FREEMASONS TAVERN in London, this building was owned by the Grand United Lodge of England (UGLE) and was adjacent to the Masons’ Hall; and it remains a lasting tribute to the founders of the Football Association.

In the past, the heated debate in those soccer circles focused on issues such as whether or not to allow your opponent to hack or kick your opponent in the leg, as well as whether you should allow the use of hands and feet anywhere on the field.

The pioneers of soccer gathered in the original masons’ pub for six nights in the fall of 1863 to undo the laws of a game that now plays approximately 250 million players in more than 200 countries around the world, making it the most popular sport in the world.

Today, the pub that occupies that historic place (called The Freemasons Arms) functions as a pilgrimage temple for football lovers, housing a large number of FA souvenirs and plaques commemorating that autumn of 1863.
