A Petrel Pair who met at Oglethorpe as student-athletes, Josh Burr '06 and Kira-Marie Burr '09 have made an impact across Atlanta through their careers. While they serve in different organizations, Josh at Northside Youth Organization as the executive director and Kira, pictured bottom right with Oglethorpe volunteers, at Chastain Park Conservancy as director of development and marketing, both their roles emphasize the importance of community. As they contribute to the city's growth, their Oglethorpe roots remain top of mind.

"When I look around Atlanta, I see Oglethorpe's impact everywhere. I see alumni leading organizations, serving on nonprofit boards, mentoring young people, coaching teams, supporting their communities, and making meaningful contributions in countless ways," says Josh.
