MOREHOUSE COLLEGE HOMECOMING UPDATE

Due to weather conditions associated with Hurricane Isaias and its potential impact on Atlanta, Morehouse College has postponed all Homecoming activities scheduled for Saturday, October 10, to Sunday, October 11, 2026.

Updated Homecoming Schedule | Sunday, October 11
10 a.m. – Tailgating areas and stadium gates open
11 a.m. – Football game kickoff
4 p.m. – Tailgating ends to accommodate traffic from the Atlanta Falcons game.

All attendees, alumni, guests, and vendors are urged not to travel to campus or report for Homecoming activities on Saturday.

Chapel Vesper Services and the Presidential Town Hall will be rescheduled. Monday classes are not canceled at this time.

Game-day tickets, travel, and tailgate ticket sales are nonrefundable.

Please remain in a safe location, avoid unnecessary travel and monitor local weather advisories.

MOREHOUSE COLLEGE HOMECOMING UPDATE

Due to weather conditions associated with Hurricane Isaias and its potential impact on Atlanta, Morehouse College has postponed all Homecoming activities scheduled for Saturday, October 10, to Sunday, October 11, 2026.

Updated Homecoming Schedule | Sunday, October 11

10 a.m. – Tailgating areas and stadium gates open
11 a.m. – Football game kickoff

No long history. No easy road. Just a group of Morehouse students who stepped into the ring, took every challenge head-on, and kept winning.

Since its founding in 2021, the Morehouse Boxing Club has grown from a handful of students sparring on campus to the first HBCU to compete in the U.S. Intercollegiate Boxing Association National Tournament, producing two national champions along the way.

Golden Gloves. National championships. Every time the odds say otherwise, Morehouse Boxing answers. And tonight, the gloves are back on for Homecoming.

The HBCU Fight Night takes place today, Sunday, October 4, at Forbes Arena on Morehouse College’s campus in Atlanta, marking the first professional boxing event hosted at the school in decades.

Morehouse College has moved up 13 spots in the 2027 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings, coming in at No. 83 among National Liberal Arts Colleges. The College was ranked No. 4 among historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs), maintaining its position as one of the nation's premier HBCUs.

The latest rankings follow a year of record interest in Morehouse, increased student financial support, new investments in AI and research, four SIAC championships, and continued campus development.

Yesterday, Morehouse College gathered students, faculty, administrators, and college leadership for . This longstanding tradition marks the beginning of a new academic year and calls the Morehouse community to rededicate itself to the pursuit of excellence.

For new students, it marks the beginning of their Morehouse experience. For seniors, it marks the start of their final year in The House. And for all, it reminds us of the responsibility that comes with being part of this institution.
