Every August, we celebrate Women's Equality Day. It is a chance to recognize the women who challenged expectations, broke barriers, and opened doors for those who followed.

But it's also an opportunity to ask a harder question: If women have proven they can lead, why are they still underrepresented at the very top?

In 2026, women led roughly 11% of Fortune 500 companies: a record high, but still a striking reminder of how much room there is to grow.

At Executive Women of Goizueta, we believe progress isn't just about representation. It's about creating the relationships, experiences, visibility, and opportunities that help more women step into leadership and stay there.

📊 Did You Know? A record 55 women now lead Fortune 500 companies in 2026, representing 11% of America's largest businesses by revenue, the highest percentage in the Fortune 500's 72-year history.

While this marks meaningful progress, it also highlights the opportunity ahead to continue expanding women's representation at the highest levels of leadership.
