HyTech Racing, a student-run organization at the Georgia Institute of Technology, is dedicated to the design and development of an electric vehicle for the Formula SAE Electric and Formula Hybrid Electric series. The interdisciplinary team of Georgia Tech students strives to transform the knowledge and training of a world-class educational institution into the creation of a competitive electric ve

HyTech Racing brings together a group of diverse students dedicated to learning and practicing real-world engineering and project management skills through the year-round development of an electric vehicle. Members of HyTech Racing have a chance to learn about all components of vehicle design and production through research, CAD design, machining, component sourcing, manufacturing and testing. In addition, members develop first-hand engineering experience related to the increasingly important field of alternative energy through the implementation of an electric drivetrain. Due to the complexities related to building a safe, efficient and viable vehicle, HyTech members work closely together and learn necessary skills related to communication, organization and time management.

Despite passing inspection, we have made the difficult decision to not run dynamic events at Formula SAE Electric 2026. In recent weeks we have experienced concerning issues with the car that we have not been able to resolve despite countless hours of work. We will always prioritize the safety of our team and as such we cannot ignore these concerns. We’d like to give a huge thanks to all of our sponsors, supporters, and members who helped design, build, and fund this car. This year and this week has been such a positive learning experience for all of us and we can’t wait to get back on track next year.

HTX x Formula South 2026 ⚡️⚡️⚡️

This past weekend, HTX earned 1st place in the EV category at Formula South, hosted by Kennesaw Motorsports FSAE . Formula South gave us a valuable opportunity to put our systems to the test as we continue preparing for Michigan.
