Last night Georgia State University College of Law and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony for the FHLBank Atlanta Heirs' Property Law Clinic.

Our speakers shared the importance of heirs' property and their support for the new clinic.

Georgia State University College of Law has joined forces with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta to open the FHLBank Atlanta Heirs' Property Law Clinic. This new initiative will train law students to help low to moderate income property owners preserve generational wealth through legacy planning and clarified ownership of property.

The Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta (FHLBank Atlanta) and Georgia State University College of Law today announced a partnership to create the FHLBank Atlanta Heirs’ Property Law Clinic.

After relocating to Atlanta from the suburbs of Kansas City, Missouri with her husband, Emily Yaun (J.D./MBA ’17) set her sights on Georgia State University College of Law. She enrolled at the College of Law as a full time student in 2013. Now, nearly nine years later she can be found at the same law school but with a different title: assistant clinical professor and director of the Philip C. Cook Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic.

Professor Emily Yaun (J.D./MBA ’17) leads the Philip C. Cook Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic nearly nine years after graduating from Georgia State University College of Law.
