🎙️ Georgia Tech EXCEL students recently visited Fulton County Government External Affairs Fulton County Government External Affairs to explore careers in public service, communications, and media production.

During the visit, students met with Commissioner Bob Ellis, toured the legislative chamber where Fulton County commissioners conduct county business, and got a behind-the-scenes look at the county's podcast and television production studios.

Special thanks to EXCEL senior Leah Gartman, whose internship with Fulton County Government External Affairs helped make the experience possible, and to Jessica Corbitt and the External Affairs team for hosting our students.

🏟️ What does it take to host events for tens of thousands of people?

Students in Georgia Tech EXCEL's Career Explorations course got a behind-the-scenes look at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, learning how the venue transitions between concerts, football games, and soccer matches.

From touring the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United locker rooms to exploring event operations, the first-year students got a peek behind the curtain at the many careers that make large-scale events possible and opportunities they may not have considered before.

A special thank-you to the Mercedes-Benz Stadium team for sharing their expertise and providing an inside look at the many roles that help bring these events to life.
