In addition to our phase 1 and phase 2 flashover trainers, we took delivery of the phase 3 backdraft trainer and the phase 4 garage flashover trainer. All units are going to be interconnected to create a multi-faceted live fire training experience. There is nothing else like it in the State of Michigan!

The city of Wayne has 14 firefighters and they're looking to hire a handful more, but the only problem is they're not getting people in the door. It's also not a problem unique to the city, it's happening across metro Detroit.

We hosted the OAKWAY Group's "Fire Ops 101" today. Fire Ops 101 is a program designed to bring a community's elected officials together and allow them the opportunity to perform fire fighting tasks, and see what the fire service does on a daily basis. Today's group was represented by West Bloomfield Twp., Bloomfield Twp., Madison Heights, Waterford Regional, Southfield, Ferndale, Birmingham, and Royal Oak.
