Today was a big day on Day 3 of 2026!

Campers kicked off the day with a sterile compounding lab. After garbing up, they were led through the sterile lab processes and how to inject an IV bag.

After some Taco Mama for lunch, everyone loaded up for a trip to East Alabama Health for a tour of the facility to learn more about hospital pharmacy!

Now we're ready for another great day tomorrow!

Day 2 of 2026 in the books!

Today, the campers did a Patient Care Lab where they learned about various ways to check vital signs. In the afternoon, they worked in teams to put together skits and videos about different career paths in pharmacy.

The campers rounded out the day with a visit to the Samford Lawn and Toomer's Drugs for some refreshing lemonade!

Excited to see everyone again tomorrow morning!

Summertime means Summer Camp! We were excited today to welcome our 2026 Pharmacy Campers to the Walker Building!

To kick the week off, campers broke out into their Villages and were tasked with creating team names, crests, and cheers. Emerging were the Villages of Tiger Wave, the Emerald Eagles, the Golden Ducks, and the Sweet Smarties!

A quick preview of an amazing week and a hula hoop pass competition closed out the afternoon. We're excited for the week ahead!

We had a great day Wednesday celebrating the career of a special person in Kathy Kyle! She retires this week after a distinguished 25-year career at the Harrison College of Pharmacy, working in a variety of roles but her biggest impact has been with our students and Standardized Patients as the Skills Lab Coordinator and SP Manager.

Kathy was celebrated in the Atrium, surrounded by coworkers, friends, and family. Her legacy is everywhere at HCOP, in the programs she strengthened, in the success of our students, and in the countless people whose days were made easier and brighter because Kathy was part of them.

Congratulations and !
