October Phi of the Month is Oliver Largue #2594

Oliver joined the chapter as a member of the Fall ‘23 pledge class and has been a core member of the chapter since. Oliver served as house manager during his sophomore and junior year contributing to vast house improvements that each brother and guest of the house use every day.

On top of Oliver’s leadership contributions, he is a heartbeat of the chapter always making everyone laugh and having a good time. He takes pride in getting to know everyone in the chapter and forming a friendship with anyone he can.

Oliver was asked his favorite meal and favorite memory while in the chapter, and below are his responses:

“My favorite meal from the house was Chef Ariel’s pot roast with potatoes and carrots that she made for fall 2025 Alumni Weekend. It was amazing, and I could barely get up from the table.”

“My favorite memory is hard to pin down, but one that sticks out is my little, Matthew Mcphillips, hitting a game tying buzzer be**er in intramurals this year and then us going on to win the game, for our first win in too long of a time.”

Attention Alabama Beta Alumni !!! We are around a month out from Fall Alumni Weekend in Auburn. This is the weekend of November 6th-7th on the same weekend as Auburn plays Arkansas at home. We are looking forward to seeing everyone there!

This past weekend we hosted our Fall Parents Weekend, welcoming over 250 parents to the Plains.

Friday night we got together with the brothers, new members, and families for dinner and a band before heading into a full Saturday with a tailgate before Auburn took on Florida.

We also had the honor of recognizing Jacob Grant as this year’s Tonsmeire Award recipient for his continued leadership, growth, and commitment to giving back throughout his time in the chapter. We’re proud to celebrate all that Jacob has contributed to our brotherhood.

Earlier this month, our chapter hosted the second annual Live Like Lou Cup at Pines Crossing Golf Course in Auburn, bringing together four fraternities for a day of golf and fundraising in support of the Live Like Lou Foundation. The tournament provided an opportunity for participants to come together while raising awareness and funds for an important cause. Lambda Chi Alpha won the tournament, and as part of their victory, Lambda Chi Alpha received a donation to their philanthropy organization, the Movember Foundation. We are looking forward to continuing and growing the Live Like Lou Cup next year.

This months brother of the month is Tyler Diebold #2699

Tyler joined the chapter last fall as a member of the fall ‘25 pledge-class and has left a lasting impact and been a helping hand for everyone since. Tyler has served the chapter in many different ways from rush committee to assisting and coordinating many improvements to the house and property. His work ethic and personality has allowed for him to excel at Auburn both academically and socially, which everyone who knows him can attest to.

Tyler’s favorite meal at the house is pesto pork hoagies. His favorite memory is having The Stews and Wax Monkey play Friday before the Iron Bowl last fall.

August Phi of the month is Drew Bodnar #2644. Drew joined the chapter as a member of the Fall ‘24, and has since left a lasting impact on the chapter. Drew continuously pursues helping the chapter to succeed, and leaving it better than when he arrived. He has recently wrapped up an outstanding fall rush, bringing in a pledge class of the next generation of Alabama Beta.

Drew’s favorite memory in the chapter is when everyone came to the house on the snow day and played football.

His favorite house meal served is Baked Ziti.

Attention incoming Auburn Students Rushing. The changes to our Summer Rush Schedule are as follows.

July 11th : The Casino event is now changed to a Cookout at the chapter house.

July 18th : The Lower Wetumpka S***t Shoot has been canceled. No event will fill the place of this event.

August 20th : Band Event remains as planned

April Phi of the Month is Matthew Jones #2560

Matthew joined the Alabama Beta chapter in the Fall 22’ pledge-class and has since served the chapter in many ways as a leader and friend to everyone. Matthew carries himself in a manner such that he is respected and known in both the chapter and in Auburn for his high character, embodying what it means to be a phi. Matthew also recently accepted a full time job for with Persons Service Corp., as he is graduating from the Building Science program here at Auburn.

Matthew’s favorite memory while being part of Phi Delta Theta is attending the Romo Cup his senior year, and all of the phi days throughout his time in the chapter. His favorite meal cooked at the house is country fried chicken.
