This past week we had the privilege to initiate 15 new brothers to the Omega Chapter of Beta Upsilon Chi.

Throughout pledgeship, these men have shown resilience, built life-long bonds with one another, and have learned to rely on each other. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for these new brothers of BYX.

Why BYX Wednesday with Brayden Burrow

Brayden is a junior accounting major from Houston, Texas.

“Coming to Auburn from out of state I knew I wanted to find a new community that can help grow my faith. Im grateful to say I found that group of guys in BYX. The fraternity has helped me grow a ton and has given me an amazing group of friends that I’ll cherish for a lifetime!“

Why BYX Wednesday with Connor Rye

Connor is a junior from Blackshear, Georgia. He is currently majoring in finance with minors in aviation management and Spanish.

“I came to BYX in search of a community of solid Christian guys who I could have fun with and grow alongside. The continuous encouragement and challenge to grow closer to Christ has been incredible. It has been a huge blessing for me to grow in my faith as a young man of God and to serve and lead others. I have had the privilege of leading Bible studies, cell groups, evangelism, and worship through BYX and am super excited to be able to step into the Chaplain position this coming year. My time here has been such a blessing, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.”

Why BYX Wednesday with Wilson Connell

Wilson is a junior from Memphis, Tennessee. He is currently majoring in law and justice.

“Coming to Auburn from out of state, I was extremely anxious about making new friends and finding a strong Christian community. I never thought Greek life and Christianity could mix, but the Lord knew what I needed better than I ever could have. God brought me to BYX, and the intentionality, kindness, and brotherhood I have experienced in this fraternity are truly unique and special. BYX has grown me tremendously as a man and as a servant of Christ, providing me with the accountability and community I was looking for entering college, and so much more. I have made lifelong friends and memories through this brotherhood, and I wouldn’t trade the experience for anything.”

Why BYX Wednesday with Layton Hagler

Layton is a junior from Dothan, Alabama. He is currently majoring in finance with a minor in real estate development.

“I rushed BYX because I wanted a community at Auburn built on faith, brotherhood, and accountability, where I could grow alongside men who challenge me to be better. BYX has been such a huge blessing to me during my time in college and has allowed me to find a true brotherhood and friends I’ll have for a lifetime. During my time at BYX, I’ve been fortunate to serve as both Recruitment Coordinator and Internal Vice President . These roles have taught me so much and allowed me to pour back into an organization that has truly bettered me. I am so grateful for BYX and the true brotherhood I have found within it.”

Welcoming brothers from all stages of life, including one of our chapter’s founders, the BYX Alumni Weekend’s worship night, alumni dinner, and tailgate really encompassed the brotherhood and unity that we strive for as a fraternity.

Thank you to everyone who put in so much hard work to make this event possible, as well as everyone in attendance! Looking forward to the next one!

Why BYX Wednesday with Lucius Thomas Renshaw

Lucius is a senior from Dothan, Alabama. He is majoring in software engineering.

“When I came to college I never really had in mind that I would ever be in a fraternity but BYX has shown me that it’s a blessing to be in one. BYX has given some amazing friends that I know I can keep for the rest of my life. Not only that but my fraternity brothers have helped me so much on my journey with Christ and it truly is a blessing to know that I can rely on these guys. I’m super thankful for everything BYX has given me and wouldn’t change a thing about it.”

Jay is a senior from Dothan, Alabama. He his currently majoring in finance and accounting.

“When I first came to Auburn I had no interest in pursuing Fraternity life. After my first semester though
, I was invited to come to a rush event and it was the best decision I have ever made. Throughout my experience in BYX I have grown in my faith, grown as a friend, and grown as a man. I have made lifelong friends and created experiences I will remember for the rest of my life. I am so thankful to BYX and how it has changed my life for the better.”

Patrick is currently a sophomore. He is a mechanical engineering major from Dickson, Tennessee.

“I left Tennessee for the Plains and found my home away from home. I’m building an eternal brotherhood through BYX at Auburn.
I brought my Tennessee roots down to Auburn. Now I’m building something eternal with my brothers in BYX.
I traded Tennessee for Auburn to find something greater. I’m proudly building an eternal brotherhood in BYX.
I moved from Tennessee to the Plains, but I found my true people here. I’m building an eternal brotherhood with BYX.”

Why BYX Wednesday with Aidan Scott

Aidan is a senior from Birmingham, Alabama. He is also majoring in software engineering.

“Coming into Auburn, I sought out Christ centered community first in the local church as well as with BYX. Surrounding myself in these places meant surrounding myself with humble men who together recognized that we could never truly live a fulfilling life apart from the God who sustains us. The Lord has revealed my role in discipleship through daily obedience in my individual walk, but also through brothers who laid the example of what it means to serve faithfully and how to disciple others. I pray that we as a fraternity could minister to others here in Auburn and that students would be encouraged to plug into such a community as BYX to walk in humility with the Lord daily!“
