Auburn University Social Work is proud to partner with the Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services (ADRS) to support veterans, National Guard members, and individuals living with traumatic brain injuries (TBI). Through the new TBI Centers of Alabama, social work students will gain hands-on experience providing counseling, care coordination, advocacy, and community support while helping individuals and families navigate recovery and reintegration. This partnership demonstrates the vital role social workers play in improving lives, strengthening communities, and ensuring access to compassionate, person-centered care. 🧡💙

The Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services TBI Program and Auburn Social Work have strengthened their partnership to serve veterans, National Guard members and individuals across the state surviving TBIs for generations to come.

Classes start Monday! If you have a class in Haley, find your room ahead of time. Screenshot the map. Memorize landmarks. Leave a trail of breadcrumbs if necessary.

📢 Attention Spring 2027 Graduates!

The Title IV-E Stipend Application deadline is October 1, 2026.

✅ Applications may be submitted beginning 30 days before the deadline ❌ Late applications will not be accepted

To be eligible, students must:

• Be a BSW student preparing to enter field placement, an Advanced Standing MSW student, or a second-year MSW student
• Have a minimum 3.0 GPA (cumulative or in the last 30 semester hours)
• Secure an approved DHR field placement

Interested students are encouraged to begin planning now and work closely with their field coordinator to ensure all requirements are met before the deadline.

The state’s Title IV-E Stipend Program provides monetary stipends and professional development coaching to students at Alabama higher education institutions. Title IV-E stipends are specifically designated for students planning to pursue or continue a career in public child welfare with the Alabam...
