Jaguar Battalion Gives Back | Move-In 2026

Our cadets are not the only Jaguars who know how to put in the work.

During multiple Augusta University move-in days, Jaguar Battalion cadre and Mr. Kenneth Bradley rolled up their sleeves and helped welcome students and families to campus—moving belongings, supporting operations, and doing their part to make the start of the semester a little easier.

This year, Augusta University welcomed more than 12,600 students, including approximately 1,600 students living on campus. More than 450 volunteers supported move-in operations from Aug. 12–14, with the Department of Military Science among the campus groups answering the call.

Leadership is not just something we teach our cadets. It is something our cadre and staff demonstrate through service, teamwork, and showing up when our university community needs a hand.

Apparently, “other duties as assigned” sometimes means carrying boxes.

Thank you to our full cadre and Mr. Bradley for pulling their weight—literally—across multiple move-in days and helping welcome the newest members of Jaguar Nation.

What did you do this summer?

Our Jaguar Battalion cadets and alumni spent theirs doing some pretty incredible things.

From Hawaii to Washington State to Fort Knox, they trained with Army units, built leadership skills, and took part in experiences most people only hear about.

Did you blow anything up?
Did you fly in a Black Hawk?
Did you fire a tank?

Our cadets and alumni did.

Army ROTC is more than classes and PT. It is an opportunity to challenge yourself, travel, train with Soldiers, explore Army career fields, and prepare to lead as an officer.

Cadet Training Spotlight | EOD at Joint Base Lewis-McChord JBLM
6th Brigade Army ROTC

Cadet Bullock is absolutely crushing it at Joint Base Lewis-McChord!

While training with the 707th Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Company, CDT Bullock has been getting hands-on experience with unexploded ordnance (UXO), explosives, EOD operations, and controlled demolitions.

This type of training gives cadets a firsthand look at the technical expertise, teamwork, discipline, and attention to detail required in the EOD community. It is also another opportunity for CDT Bullock to learn directly from Soldiers in an operational Army unit and see how leadership is applied in the field.

And yes—there has been some blowing stuff up.

If you see CDT Bullock running, you might want to start running too.

Experiences like this are what make Army ROTC more than a classroom experience. Cadets have opportunities to train with Army units, explore different career fields, build confidence, and prepare for the responsibilities they will take on as future officers.

Cadet Training Spotlight | Field Artillery Experience in Hawaii

During training with the 25th Infantry Division’s DIVARTY, 3rd Battalion, 7th Field Artillery Regiment at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, CDT McNatt gained firsthand experience with the responsibilities of Field Artillery leaders and how artillery platoons and batteries operate.

Throughout the experience, CDT McNatt learned the roles of the Platoon Leader, Fire Direction Officer (FDO), and Fire Support Officer (FSO) and how each position contributes to the mission. CDT McNatt also observed howitzer sections conduct Dry Fire Certifications (Table V) and Live Fire Qualifications (Table VI), attended a change of command ceremony, and learned how Army property transfers and other administrative actions are handled.

This training provided valuable insight into the responsibilities of newly commissioned Field Artillery officers, how howitzer crews train and qualify to fire, and the administrative processes required to keep Army organizations operating effectively.

Experiences like this give Army ROTC cadets an opportunity to see Army leadership in action, learn directly from Soldiers and officers in operational units, and better understand the responsibilities they will assume after commissioning.

Cadet Spotlight | Danish Royal Ruck March

Congratulations to Cadet Fazekas, who, while training with the 133rd Military Police Company, completed the 12.4-mile Danish Royal Ruck March on August 30 at 8:30 a.m. at McEntire Joint National Guard Base.

The Danish Royal Ruck March is designed to bring members of the United States Armed Forces and global military partners together through fellowship, networking, and physical fitness. Completing the 12.4-mile event is a strong demonstration of endurance, determination, and commitment to continued growth as a future Army leader.

Experiences like this are part of what Army ROTC provides our cadets—opportunities to challenge themselves, build relationships, develop leadership skills, and prepare for service as Army officers.

Air Assault School challenges Soldiers and Cadets through rigorous physical training, technical instruction, and demanding standards. Cadet Bush’s accomplishment is a great example of the training and development opportunities available through Army ROTC.

We’ve got another Jaguar Battalion cadet making an appearance at Cadet Summer Training—and this one may be getting a little too comfortable in front of the camera.

Either he likes the camera, or the camera really likes him, because this isn’t the first time we’ve spotted him!

We’re proud to see our cadets representing Augusta University and the Jaguar Battalion while training, developing as leaders, and preparing for the responsibilities ahead.

Jaguar Battalion helping welcome our newest Jags!

LTC Acevedo, CPT Ceresoli, and SFC Bates joined the wonderful team from Augusta University Housing & Residence Life to help new students move into the residence halls and start their journey at AU.

Army ROTC is about more than what happens in the classroom or during training. Our cadre and cadets are proud to be part of the Augusta University community and to support our fellow Jaguars wherever we can.

✈️ RARE FIND: CDT Politowski ✈️

Every mission has a beginning.

As the final Jaguar Battalion cadet to depart for Cadet Summer Training, CDT Politowski had one more person there to see him off—LTC Acevedo.

From the first farewell to the last, our Professor of Military Science has made it a priority to support every cadet, every step of the way. This airport sendoff marked the end of another CST departure season, but it's also the beginning of an incredible opportunity for one of our future Army officers.

Cadet Summer Training is where leadership is tested, confidence is built, and future officers continue their journey of becoming leaders of character.

Good luck, CDT Politowski. The Jaguar Battalion is proud of you, and we can't wait to hear about your experience at Fort Knox.
